The cleaning of hydraulic oil directly affects the operation of oil filter

Whether the hydraulic oil is clean not only affects the working performance of the hydraulic system and the service life of the hydraulic components, but also directly relates to whether the hydraulic system can work normally. Most faults of hydraulic system are related to the pollution of hydraulic oil, so it is very important to control the pollution of hydraulic oil.


1. Reasons for hydraulic oil pollution: the main reasons for hydraulic oil pollution are as follows:
(1) The dirt in the pipes and hydraulic components of the hydraulic system, such as molding sand, chips, abrasives, welding slag, rust flakes and dust, is not cleaned before the system is used. When the hydraulic system is working, these dirt will enter the hydraulic oil.
(2) The external dust, sand, etc. enter the hydraulic oil through the reciprocating telescopic piston rod and the oil leakage flowing back to the oil tank during the working process of the hydraulic system. In addition, dust, lint, etc. may enter the hydraulic oil if not paid attention to during maintenance.
(3) The hydraulic system itself also constantly generates dirt, which directly enters the hydraulic oil, such as the wear particles of metal and sealing materials, the particles or fibers falling off the filter materials, and the colloids generated by the oxidation and deterioration of the oil due to the oil temperature rise.

In order to prolong the service life of hydraulic components and ensure the reliable operation of hydraulic system, it is more feasible to control the pollution degree of hydraulic oil within a certain limit.

In order to prevent oil pollution, the following measures shall be taken in actual work:
a. Keep the hydraulic oil clean before use.
b. Keep the hydraulic system clean after assembly and before operation.
c. Keep the hydraulic oil clean during operation.
d. Use a suitable oil filter.
e. Control the operating temperature of the hydraulic oil.
f. Replace the hydraulic oil regularly.
