Significance of Turbine Oil Pollution Control


The lubricating oil system uses steam turbine oil as the working medium, and the quality of the oil is an important element that affects the stability and economic operation of the unit. One of the factors that cause the deterioration of steam turbine oil is pollution caused by pollutants such as moisture and metal particles. The oil contains water (free water and dissolved water) and high concentration of metal particles, which will cause common damages such as reduced lubrication performance, rusting of metal surfaces, jamming of the governor sleeve, and scratching of the bearing surface. Due to the coexistence of water and metal particles and dirt, the catalysis of metal particles accelerates the oxidative transformation of the oil and reduces the life of the oil.
